  12. • CLUT Maker  is an editor that handles 'clut' resource.
  13.    You can edit 8 bit ( 256 colors ) Color Look Up Table ( CLUT ).
  14.      When a CLUT is needed for palette animation or some graphic effects,
  15.      CLUT Maker  provides it effectively.

  17. • CLUT Maker  requires Macintosh or PowerMac with System7.1 or greater.
  18. Å@The author recommend you to use it on PowerMac.

  20. • CLUT Maker  is created on PowerMac with MacOS 7.6.1 using
  21. Å@Metrowerks CodeWarrior.
  22.    The 68K versions of CLUT Maker  are also tested on Macintosh.

  44. Usage:
  45. • This Application is AppleEvent savvy.
  46.      By Drag&Drop, a resource file is opened.
  47. • When CLUT Maker  opens a file, the target 8 bit 'clut' is the one, 
  48.    that CLUT Maker  can found first. 
  49. • Two windows, CLUT and Component are opened for one 'clut'.
  50.      CLUT Window is for editing. Component Window is for monitoring.
  51. • By single clicking the item in the CLUT, it toggles between selected state
  52.    and disselected state. Choose any entries you want to edit.
  53. • The marquee is availuable to select/disselect items.
  54. • To change the color of an item, double-click it. 
  55.    The changing-color dialog appears.
  56. • The effect is done by selecting menu 'Effect'.
  57. • For Linear and Ellipsoidal effects,  first and last entries are essential.
  58.    The calculation is done based on these two colors.
  59. • Open sample files with CLUT Maker .
